Roky

Roky CK-81 was trained by myself in August/September 2012 at the Canine Training Center, US Customs and Border Protection Academy at Front Royal Virginia. He was then taken to the Area Port of Del Rio, Texas and worked on the US/Mexican border from September 2012 – April 2016. Roky worked all different shifts in all kinds of different weather and performed excellently. The worst day of his career occurred in December 2015. We were working the entry point where cars came from Mexico to enter the US. A car approached and the back window was rolled down and a pit bull jumped out and tried to attack Roky. He bite Roky’s nose and I shot and killed the pit bull. In April Roky was reassigned to the Area Port of Orlando, Florida where he performed duties searching planes, baggage, people, warehouses, mail facilities, and cruise ships in Port Canaveral, Florida. Roky had many drug finds an performed his duties in an outstanding manner until retirement in April 2020. Roky is now retired and living in Apopka, Florida.
