Ivan

Ivan is a retired explosive detection K9 who was bred at Auburn University. Ivan worked 7 ½ years and was certified in conventional explosive detection as well as vapor wake detection. Throughout Ivan’s long career, he mainly worked up and down the northeast corridor of Amtrak’s rail system. However, from Super Bowls to World Series, Ivan worked all over the country. Ivan also provided several k9 demonstrations to security officials of other agencies and countries, even providing a demonstration in the U.S. Senate for the Senate Commerce Committee. In addition to Ivan’s yearly certifications, Ivan completed many advanced training courses from Florida to Alabama. In Ivan’s retirement he enjoys napping, cuddling, and eating lots of treats!
Ivan loves his slow retirement. He loves sleeping and all the treats in the world!
