Ace

Ace worked with the Roanoke City Police Department as a single purpose narcotic detection dog. During his short tenure, K9 Ace was responsible for detecting multiple narcotics leading to a multitude of arrests making Roanoke City that much safer! Due to a law change regarding marijuana, Ace had to be retired at a very young age. Ace had a strong drive to work and is always on the move! Since retirement, Ace has served as his handler’s running partner (keeping in shape for the newest working dog) and has since learned deer-shed hunting. Just recently, Ace had taken a corn cob from the handler’s child while they were eating dinner. The handler is currently awaiting news from the vet about possible emergency surgery to have the corn cob removed from his digestive tract.
