Margie

K9 Margie was born in Texas in 2014 and she was raised in prisons in New York and New Jersey as part of the Puppies Behind Bars program. This program allows prisoners to help raise service canines in exchange for good behavior. In the summer of 2015, K9 Margie found her calling as an explosives detection K9, working for the Department of Defense in Springfield, Virginia where she worked for seven years. Margie now enjoys her retirement, full of belly rubs and naps in the sun, in Sterling, Virginia. She enjoys the companionship of her “sister” Jewel and “brother” Rascal. K9 Margie is very busy these days protecting the family home from nefarious squirrels.
