Martin

Martin served 7 years protecting travelers, visitors and employees at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. He worked as a single purpose explosive detection K9 for the police department and retired in June 2021. Martin was originally from Holland and started his police training in 2013. Martin was named after Martin Richard the 8-year-old boy who tragically lost his life in the Boston Marathon Bombings. He absolutely lived and loved to work and was crazy about his ball reward! Since his retirement he has remained a very active dog. He loves daily walks in the neighborhood car rides with dad. At home he enjoys napping by the fireplace and hanging with his other dog roommate Maizy.
