Janet Reid

Janet Reid joined Paws of Honor in January 2026 as Director of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships, bringing more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and philanthropic development.

With deep personal ties to military and first responder service as the daughter of an Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and the sister of a Coast Guard veteran and first responder, Janet is deeply committed to ensuring retired military and law enforcement K9s receive the veterinary care necessary at no cost to their handler.

Prior to joining Paws of Honor, Janet served as Director of Philanthropy at Boulder Crest Foundation, where she was a key member of the leadership team overseeing the organization’s fundraising initiatives. During her tenure, she led significant growth in philanthropic revenue while substantially improving donor retention, strengthening the foundation’s long-term financial sustainability. Her leadership emphasized strategic planning, donor stewardship, and meaningful relationship-building.

Throughout her career, Janet has demonstrated a results-driven, mission-focused approach to fundraising and organizational growth. She is recognized for building high-performing teams, cultivating major donor relationships, and aligning philanthropic strategy with organizational impact. Janet’s professional expertise, combined with her personal dedication to service, supports Paws of Honor’s mission to provide high-quality veterinary care and essential products at no cost to retired military and law enforcement K9s.

Janet earned her BS in Philosophy from the College of William & Mary, and has 2 adult children and 1 grand dog, of whom she is very proud.
