K9 Norman worked as an U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agriculture Detection dog at an International Airport in California for almost 6.5 years. He was tasked with detecting prohibited food and plant items carried in the luggage and hand carries of returning international travelers. He retired in January 2024 due to a combination of age and a degenerative spinal disease.
