Junior

Junior is an 11-year-old Belgian Malinois who has dedicated the last decade to serving as part of the protection detail for the President of the United States. He has spent countless hours on the grounds of the White House and at various other locations frequented by the President. Known as an all-around excellent working dog, Junior may not have been the best at any single task, but he was incredibly versatile throughout his career. His notable achievement during the selection process was being clocked at over 30 MPH during a run. At work, his signature move was waiting patiently until someone approached the truck, and just when they thought no one was inside, he would bark loudly, startling many of his coworkers daily. I always told them it was his unique way of saying hello. In his downtime, Junior enjoys finding ways to get back to work, as he has never truly been a house dog; he lives for the mission. Retirement will certainly present a challenge for this spirited dog.
