Born on November 20, 2016, Drago was destined for service. From an early age, he displayed the drive, intelligence, and discipline that would define his career as a Military Working Dog. From March 2018 to June 2018, Drago completed his training and certification at Lackland Air Force Base, where he mastered the skills that would prepare him for operational duty. There, he was certified in the detection of cocaine, MDMA, heroin, marijuana, and methamphetamine — proving his exceptional focus, work ethic, and reliability. Drago proudly served from January 2019 to November 2025 at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek–Fort Story. Throughout nearly seven years of honorable service, he safeguarded personnel, protected installations, and carried out every task with unwavering loyalty and precision. Calm under pressure and steadfast in his mission, Drago embodied the highest standards of a Military Working Dog. Beyond his operational achievements, Drago was a devoted partner. The bond he shared with his handler was forged through countless hours of training, trust, and shared purpose. In every environment, he stood ready — disciplined, alert, and fearless. Now retired, Drago enjoys the peace he helped protect. The long watches have become quiet naps, and the tempo of duty has softened into well-earned comfort. Yet the heart of a guardian remains. Drago’s service may be complete, but his legacy endures — protector, partner, and forever a hero.
