I’m sure every handler feels that their dog is top notch. I am here to tell you that Q really is an amazing pup. If Q were to ever go to a tattoo parlor, he would be getting a tattoo of a tennis ball. He is responsible for taking hundreds of pounds of controlled substances off of the streets. Q is a sole purpose narcotic detector dog. The majority of Q’s work was done within West Valley’s borders here in Utah. Q has also worked at the Salt Lake International Airport in both Domestic and International flights. Q worked for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). Q has worked the Border ports of San Ysidro and Otay Mesa where Mexico feeds into the United States. Anytime Q would have a significant drug bust while working the road, I would take him to McDonald’s drive-thru. I would order him a cheese burger happy meal. Needless to say, Q has had plenty of cheeseburgers over the years. Q’s nemesis are kitty cats. Q performs flawlessly and knows several commands; however all of these go right out the window when cats are around. When Q isn’t on the clock, he is a lover of family and anyone willing to pet him behind his ears.
