APOLLO

Apollo is a 12 year old black and tan German Shepherd from Medina Ohio. He came to the Rocky River Ohio police department when he was 7 weeks old and attended training with me every week until he was certified through the state of Ohio for police work. We have worked together throughout his entire career until he retired in August 2025. Apollo was a dual purpose K9 certified in narcotics and patrol. Working 12 hour shifts, my wife and I have tried to give him the best life at home. He enjoys celebrating his birthday and Christmas because he loves ripping open his gifts. In the summer, Apollo loves to swim until he gets so tired he will sleep through the next day. He loves his “Greenies” and boiled beef bones and laying down on the couch. Apollo also loves to lay outside and bark at all the dogs in the neighborhood.
