Argos

Argos is an 8 year old retired dual purpose K9 from southern New Jersey. In August of 2017, K9 Argos graduated with his handler from a 22 week explosive detection/patrol K9 Academy. From August of 2017 to April 2023 Argos faithfully served his community in any and every way he could. He protected the community, his handler, and fellow officers, while forging meaningful relationships with the public that would not have otherwise been possible. Argos would go to local schools and events to interact with children and civilians and assisted a multitude of outside agencies with his skill sets in patrol and explosive detection. At home he is a big goofball who just wants to play, be loved on, snack, and run around in the back yard. He received numerous letters of appreciation and awards for his deployments in and out of his own jurisdiction. Argos had the honor of working events for a presidents, former vice president, professional athletes, a supreme court justice and for other distinguished persons and events. His love of working is unwavering, as is his energy level! He would also do anything for his ball or tug! He is true to his name, Argos, which means “Vigilant guardian” and “All seeing”. No amount of words could describe the partner that he was and continues to be and the endless love his handler has for him and the work they were able to accomplish together.
