Crock was originally a Tactical Explosives Detector Dog and was recycled into the Army’s Patrol Explosive Detector Dog program in 2013. I was assigned Crock as my first Military Working Dog in 2017 at Fort Stewart, GA where we conducted 2 Forscom Certifications, attended the Patrol Explosive Detector Dog-Enhanced school and deployed to Syria all between the beginning of 2017 to the end of 2018. In 2019 we left Fort Stewart to go to Korea together where we conducted a certification, VIP sweeps and multiple bomb threats. We landed at Fort Belvoir where we conducted one last certification together and I adopted him after 10 months of work. Crock still loves his ball, if it goes missing under the couch or he leaves it outside he searches the whole house to find his ball. He loves water, no matter if its a puddle or a beach. Most of all, he loves to sleep. Crock is the deepest sleeping dog I have ever seen, after living in the kennels and being around loud noises his whole life I understand why. He prefers his toys over treats, but he will still settle for treats too. He loves car rides, and he doesn’t care how long we travel he is an amazing travelling companion.
