Frog

K9 Frog is a black Labrador who has proudly served alongside the Columbus Police Department. She is trained in narcotics detection, tracking, and article searches, making her a valuable resource in locating illegal narcotics, missing persons, and evidence. One of Frog’s most memorable accomplishments came just days before her final shift. Frog was deployed to search for an 85-year-old man with dementia who had wandered away from his home and had been missing for approximately four hours. Frog successfully tracked the man for approximately 1.7 miles and located him, bringing the search to a successful conclusion and helping reunite him with his family. In addition to her law enforcement duties, Frog’s friendly Labrador personality has made her a great ambassador for the department and a favorite during community interactions. From locating narcotics and evidence to finding a vulnerable missing person, K9 Frog has served the Columbus community faithfully and leaves behind a career of service to be proud of.
