K9 Ivan was born in 2017 in Ukraine and served the citizens of Springfield from 2018-2023 Due to medical concerns he is being retired early He was purchased from the Von Liche Kennel with donated funds from the Springfield Police Foundation During his career, K9 Ivan was deployed 405 times and was responsible for 38 misdemeanor and felony arrests and numerous narcotic finds K9 Ivan is known for his ability know when it was time to work and time to play and enjoyed hogging the attention at squad briefings K9 Ivan was an outstanding police dog and his In retirement, K9 Ivan will reside with me He will enjoy playing fetch, long walks, and getting to cuddle on the couch with his mom (my wife)
