Retired Military Working Dog Llamers D599 proudly served at Naval Weapons Station Yorktown from 2021 to 2025, His first and only duty station. As a dual purpose Military Working Dog, Llamers carried out his duties with precision, discipline, and unwavering reliability. During his active duty career, Llamers supported security operations alongside the United States Secret Service in the protection of two sitting Presidents and two Vice Presidents. He provided safety and operational support across multiple venues and jurisdictions while maintaining the highest professional standards. Among his notable assignments, he assisted in securing the graduation and commissioning ceremony for 941 cadets at the United States Military Academy at West Point for the class of 2023. He supported numerous campaign events across the East Coast during the 2024 Election season and participated in security operations for the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly held in New York City. He also assisted with the security operations for UFC 309 at Madison Square Garden In New York City, which featured the heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic. Despite a demanding operational tempo and high visibility missions, Llamers maintained the steady temperament and goofy spirit he brought with him into the program. Behind the working vest was the same loyal and spirited dog who became the heart of the Yorktown kennels. Now retired, Llamers enjoys the comforts of civilian life, including soft beds, extra cuddles from his bonus handler, and playful pestering his big brother Pluto.
