Lugo is a 9 year old Golden Retriever was a great working dog with medium/high drive while assigned to the TSA K9 unit at LAX detecting explosives.. He was a blessing since we were first paired in 2019. Airport passengers would croon over his good looks especially his resting-face smile. Just before retiring, Lugo was featured in the 2024 TSA Canine Calendar taking Mr. June honors and was mentioned on “Good Morning America” along with his photo. From 2019-2024, Lugo worked a few Pasadena Rose Parades and Pasadena Rose Bowl games, did training in Reno, NV and assisted Phoenix airport TSA for a few weeks in 2023. His last assignment was Super Bowl LVIII Chiefs vs 49ers in Las Vegas, NV. He now enjoys guarding our home and 4 children, sunbathing, bird watching and barking at everyone who walks by along the sidewalk.
