Mai

K-9 Mai served with the Cherry Hill Police Department from January 2015 through January 2025 as a dual-purpose patrol and narcotics detection canine. During her ten-year career, Mai assisted with hundreds of arrests, countless narcotics investigations, tracking operations, building searches, and community engagement events throughout New Jersey and beyond. Throughout her career, she worked alongside Sgt. Anthony Amato and became a familiar face at schools, community events, Junior Police Academy programs, demonstrations, and public safety presentations. Mai traveled throughout New Jersey for training, certifications, competitions, mutual aid deployments, and community events. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with her family, relaxing at home, and making appearances at community programs where she was always a favorite among children. After ten years of dedicated service to the residents of Cherry Hill, K-9 Mai retired in January 2025.
