Maya

K-9 Maya is an eight-year-old retired Explosive Detection dog assigned to the Department of Defense for seven years. Throughout Maya’s career she traveled to West Virginia and Hawaii providing explosive detection expertise in support of National Security. In 2017, K-9 Maya’s skills were utilized in the Inauguration for the President of the United States. During her first month of retirement, she traveled across Pennsylvania and now resides in Hawaii. She enjoys walks with the family, hiking, playing fetch, and sun bathing on a daily basis. Her favorite treats include any provided dog treat or whatever her human siblings leave behind.
