Niels

Niels is a 9 year old German Shorthaired Pointer that was a single-purpose Explosive Odor Detection Canine. He worked at Charlotte-Douglas International Airport for the TSA Canine Program with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Over the course of his career he worked his daily duties at the airport, as well as working many Carolina Panthers Football games, Charlotte FC matches, swept the backstage and stage areas at PNC Music Pavilion for concerts, ensured the safety of numerous high-profile visitors including Presidents, Vice Presidents, and many other politicians coming to Charlotte, NC. Now that Niels is retired he enjoys playing with his other four-legged brother and sisters, his tiny human, and curling up on the couch with any human that will give him love.
