Pow

Retired Military Working Dog Pow, tattoo Y362, started his career with the United States Marine Corps as a Specialized Search Dog at Camp Pendelton, a program that no longer exists under that name in the DoD. Pow deployed to the Middle East twice with the Marine Corps. In 2020, when the SSD program was disbanded Pow was reassigned to the Air Force at Luke Air Force Base; where he deployed two more times, once to the UAE and another to Northern Jordan in direct support of Operation Inherent Resolve, with his handler and now adopter. Pow executed multiple United States Secret Service missions where he searched for explosives to protect the President and Vice President of the United States. Pow responded to several legitmate bomb threats where he ensured there was no threat to the public. Pow has spent the vast majority of his retired life living in Italy with his handler; while there he has traveled to Germany, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland, Rome, Pisa, Florence, and Venice. This does not include his official travels to Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Syria, the UAE, and Guam. Pow enjoys sleeping in the bed with his handler, meeting as many people as he can, and he loves more than anything his Kong Teddy Bear.
