Profi

Profi was purchased in 2017 from K9 Working Dogs International for the Burleigh County Sheriff’s Department. He was a dual purpose K9 trained in narcotic detection, apprehensions, and tracking. I took over as handler for Profi in 12/2019 until he retired in 07/2024. We did our initial training and certification in Pensacola, FL in March of 2020. We traveled and trained in Rock Springs, WY for recerts every year. We competed in the annual North Dakota Peace Officers Association K9 competition and took 2nd in 2023. Over Profi’s 7 plus year career, he has almost 1000 deployments for narcotic related searches, tracks, building searches, and apprehensions. Profi and I were called several times to surrounding counties and cities to assist them in whatever they may need.
