Samson

Samson (L378) is one of the first 12 proprietary TSA K9’s that started the TSA K9 program in 2008. K9 Handler Andy Jones and Samson were part of K9 Team LAX and searched cargo as their primary job. Over the years of service, Samson searched millions of pounds of cargo being transported by passenger aircraft. During his time on the job, we participated in deployments to Chicago for a NATO security function, as well as travels around Southern California supporting local events like the Rose Parade. Samson is enjoying his retirement and time spent with his “sister” K9 Orka who began her career when Samson retired. Samson also enjoys my 2 year old son Matthew and allows him to crawl on him and give him love. Now in his late years, Samson spends his time relaxing on his cot and waiting on meal time. His favorite treat though has always been apples.
