Police Service Dog (PSD) Zev served as a dual‑purpose Apprehension and Narcotics Detection K9 with the Colorado Springs Police Department. He began his career with CSPD in November 2021, quickly becoming an invaluable member of both the department and the community. Throughout his distinguished service, Zev responded to more than 892 calls for service and assisted in 86 suspect surrenders. He proudly supported patrol officers, the fugitive team, the Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU), and numerous local, state, and federal partners. His skill, reliability, and work ethic made him a trusted resource across multiple units. Beyond his operational accomplishments, Zev was a beloved ambassador for the department. He participated in 42 educational demonstrations at schools, businesses, and community events throughout Colorado Springs, helping showcase the professionalism and dedication of CSPD’s K9 Team. His balanced temperament and impressive abilities made him both an effective working dog and a valued community representative.
