Max is a dual purpose German Shepherd that was certified in both patrol and narcotics detection. He was a proven and valuable K9 that had an exemplary career with the Fairfax County Police Department for 8 years including 7 years as a SWAT K9.
Max was 9 ½ yrs old and beginning to show his age when he was retired from service. He is now enjoying his retirement with his handler and his family and stays active by playing with the family and the family’s other dog, Luna.
