Ares

Ares is a 5 year old Belgian Malinois and full of energy. Ares was born for this job. He started his life as a personal protection K9. A short time later, I went to pick out a dog and he was in the mix. He was the only dog we really didn’t care about me, but there was something about him. He was a dog that needed to be bonded with. That’s why I chose him. Fast forward, Ares was the most trainable dog around. He would do anything for me and the job. He LOVES to work. I can give him a toy, and if I’m not asking him to work for it, he doesn’t want it. Ares is very food driven, but when searching for a person or narcotics, he will let a load of bread go untouched. He was very laser focused when asked to do a job. Ares loves his peanut butter filled Kong. He loves his time outside, since retirement I have given him more freedom in the living room. He will bark at anything yelling on the tv and he smacks the window to go outside. Ares is my best friend. The one who watched my back throughout the night. Everytime I was out of my car, he would watch for me. He tracked suspects with me right behind him, he found a lot of narcotics, he would search for discarded evidence and he would run into danger to keep me and other officers safe.
